The Future of Our Junior Academy Program

Last Updated: Aug 12th, 2019

The primary focus of our Junior Academy Program has always been to provide to the recreational sport community with a rich, professional and FUN experience for youth players curious about our game.  We feel that the best way to continue to do that, is to step back and reconsider some long-standing assumptions.

I’d like to formally announce our decision to forego the traditional Fall JA program this year.  Collectively, the administration feels the program needs a refresh, and so we’ll be taking the next couple of months to retool the curriculum and format, bring in more outside opinions, and reassess the immediate and long term goals of the program.

What Comes Next?

We understand and appreciate that many families were eagerly waiting to register for Fall, and we want you to know that in lieu of the traditional JA season, we will be hosting regular open futsal games at COC’s Valencia Campus.  For those new to futsal, this is the way the majority of the world learns the game;  ball at feet, flats, with friends, low pressure, with the freedom to be creative.  These principals very much align with what you should expect from the next iteration of the Junior Academy proper.

More details will soon follow.  In the meantime, you should always feel free to contact us at fcvysl@fcvalencia.com or via any of the social media channels below.
